A dental crown, also known as a dental cap, is a custom-made restoration that fits over a damaged tooth. It restores its shape, strength, and natural appearance.
A crown provides long-lasting protection for fractured teeth, root-treated teeth, or any tooth weakened over time.
We ensure each crown feels and functions like a natural tooth, seamlessly blending with your surrounding teeth and gums.
Book an AppointmentAt your first appointment, we’ll examine your tooth and discuss whether a dental crown is the right solution, especially if the tooth is fractured or severely decayed.
We’ll gently remove a thin layer of the tooth’s surface to make room for the crown, while preserving the strong inner structure. If needed, we’ll place a temporary filling to protect the area.
We’ll take detailed impressions of your tooth for our lab technicians and fit a temporary crown, allowing you to eat and speak comfortably while your permanent crown is being made.
Once your crown is ready we’ll carefully fit and cement it into place for a secure, long-lasting result.
This process typically takes two visits, about one week apart.

Your comfort is our priority. We take the time to explain every step, ensure the perfect shade match, and support you with aftercare advice to make your crown last for years.
The procedure is done under local anaesthetic and feels similar to getting a filling. If the tooth has had canal treatment, you may not even require anaesthetic.
Yes, after a root canal, the tooth is often more brittle. A crown will help preserve and protect it for the long term.
Porcelain crowns offer excellent aesthetics for front teeth, while metal crowns—or porcelain fused to metal, provide added strength for back teeth under pressure.
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, a crown can last 10–15 years or longer. Brush twice a day and clean between your teeth using floss or interdental brushes.
